1. The goal of the tournament
Offering sport for amateur players; independent of level, age, sex, sexual orientation and identity. Badminton always has been one of the favourite sports in EuroGames, you won’t be disappointed this time either. We are looking forward having full-house, 500 competitors at the two-day competition.
2. Location of the tournament
The tournament will be divided to three venues (about 32 courts all together on the first day and 26 on the second). On the first day (29th June, Friday) the tournament will be held at 3 different venues, on the second day (30th June, Saturday) at one venue close to the centre of Budapest.

5. Events and levels
Single events: Men, Women
Double events: Men, Women, Mixed
Categories: A, B+, B-, C.
Organisers maintain the right of dividing or fusing levels depending of the number of participants.
Doubles of different level players must enter in the higher level of the double (e.g. a double of one C level and one B- level player in level B-).
In the same event one player or one double can enter only in one of the levels.
Entry to Single and Mixed double for the same player is not possible. These two events will be played at the same time.
6. Details about the tournament
There will be a round-robin schedule in groups first, followed by a knock-out system with ‘rally scoring’.
Both double and single matches will be played with one set of 21 points (with extension). Finals will be played best of three 21 points (with extension).
Scores have to be counted by the players and get filled in the forms by the volunteers except the finals when official judges will count the scores. After each game the filled score form and the numbered shuttle must be sent back to the tournament desk as soon as possible.
Players will be called for games by loudspeaker. Players not shown up after the third call will be disqualified.
7. Medals
The winner, 2nd and 3rd get medals in each event and level.
The medals ceremony will be held after the finals.
8. Registration
1. You apply for the competition on the web site. In case you mark “double partner wanted” we will do our best to find your partner.
2. After arriving at Budapest, on the 28th of June, you have to register yourself personally at the registration point.
3. 10 minutes latest before starting each event (single and double) you have to entry in the venue at the tournament desk so the organisers can draw up the list for the pairings.
9. Results
After each event on the spot in form of written announcement on the wall.
After the tournament the results will be published at the EuroGames Budapest webpage (name, event, category, place).
10. Important information

Each player participates in the tournament on their own responsibility, medical permission is not required; registration for the tournament means declaration of physical fitness enough for participation. First aid is available on the spot. Warming up is obligatory!

Every participant play with own sport equipment however, shuttles for the matches (blue ribbon, plastic Yonex Mavis 350 at B+/- and C level, feather shuttles at A level) will be placed at the players disposal by the organisers. Training is possible with limited amount of same quality shuttles or with own shuttles. It is obligatory to wear clean sport shoes on the sport field for players and visitors as well. It is suggested to have a supplementary racket.
