Dear Visitor! We are looking for volunteers for local tasks. Details and application form are at volunteer menu!

1. Goal of the competition

We offer participants a challenge of high standard at a popular excursion site near Budapest. The fresh air, the green environment and the friendly welcome will provide everyone an unforgettable experience. Another goal of the competition is to popularize cycling as a sport.

2. Location of the competition

The competition will be held in the hills surrounding Budapest. Apart from cycling, other facilities (such as swimming pool) are also available to relax in a natural environment after the competitions. Foreign guests can also taste the spicy Hungarian cuisine.

4. Schedule of the competition

29 June 2012 (Friday)

  • 8:30-9 a.m.   – meeting in the city
  • 10 - 10:30 a.m.  – announcements of technical information
  • 10:30-11 a.m.   – last minute on-site registration
  • 11 – 12 a.m.   – distribution of chips, start numbers and warm-up
  • 12 – 2 p.m.   – races
  • 3 p.m.    – announcement of results
  • after the award ceremony you will have time to rest, use the swimming pool or to cook outdoors
  • 5 p.m. – last ride back to the city --> WE TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ONES NOT JOINING THE LAST TEAM BACK TO THE CITY
  • Please arrive on time in the morning and keep the schedule in order to avoid inconveniences.

 

5. Races

- 5 km/lap
Men: 8 laps; about 40 kilometers; about 96 minutes at intensive pace and continuous ride
Women: 6 laps; about 30 kilometers; about 72 minutes at intensive pace and continuous ride

Categories

  • under 35 years
  • between 35 and 45 years
  • above 45 years

The organizers reserve the right to change the conditions depending on the number of participants.

6. Race conditions

The first part of the track is a short surfaced road, providing favorable conditions for a good start. The rest of the track is randomly shifting between forest track, partly forest path and rough forest path. There are two steep slopes in the track. The track can be used in the event of rain as well.

7. Awards

The three best participants in all categories will be awarded medals and prizes.

8. Registration and entering the competition

  • Registration is possible through the registration system at the website of the competition.
  • Personal registration is compulsory on 28 June at the Registration Point.
  • A final check-in will be required from all participants at the location of the competition on 29 June.

9. Announcement of results

Written announcements will be made at the location of the competition.
Results will also be published at the website of the event after the competition (name, category, results).

10. Other

  • All participants shall take responsibility for their own health and safety; sports doctor’s certificate is not required; registration serves as to acknowledge that the participants’ state of health is suitable for entering the competition. First aid will be available on-site.
  • The rules and regulations of MMTBSzSz and UCI will be applied.
  • Wearing helmets at the training and during the event is obligatory!
  • Entering the competition with road bikes is not recommended.
  • Bicycle service will be provided.
  • We take no responsibility for property left in the changing rooms; only for those left in the depository.
  • The organizers reserve the right to change the conditions in case of unexpected circumstances.
